Project Leadership

As a Senior Ruby on Rails Software Engineer, I led the entire lifecycle of a key technical project, from its initiation through to deployment. This role demanded a deep understanding of both the technical and managerial aspects of software development, enabling me to effectively guide the project to success.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

My role involved extensive collaboration with various teams to gather and consolidate project requirements. This ensured that all aspects of the project were aligned with the client’s needs, and facilitated a cohesive and integrated approach to project development.

Technical Debt Reduction

A significant achievement was the successful removal of a legacy payment processor from the codebase. This initiative significantly reduced technical debt and improved the system’s efficiency and reliability, marking a major milestone in the project’s progression.

Strategic Execution

I was responsible for segmenting technical initiatives into epics and tickets, and then executing these across multiple codebases. This strategic approach enabled the delivery of a comprehensive solution that fully aligned with the initial requirements, showcasing my ability to manage complex technical challenges.

Development Excellence

In addition to project management, my technical contributions included the development and documentation of API endpoints using Ruby on Rails, as well as the construction of front-end pages utilizing React and Rails views. These efforts contributed to a robust and user-friendly application, enhancing the overall project quality.

Front-End Innovation

The front-end development work involved creating intuitive and responsive pages, highlighting my versatility in working across the full stack of web development technologies. This work not only enhanced the application’s user experience but also demonstrated my commitment to leveraging the latest technologies to achieve project goals.
